web 2.0 tool review

So it has been a really busy week and I am having a little trouble explaining to my husband that my homework is surfing the net!! Anyhow, I have reviewed a few tools for photosharing/printable photobooks. I am loving Picaboo and have created a few photobooks. I was able to easily post the books to my facebook account (but havn't figures on how to get it to my blog yet). It was really user friendly, lets you pick your own backgrounds or search for some in their files and was easy to print/order the books. One drawback was you couldn't order two dirrerent books without seperate orders (you will pay for shipping twice). I also critiqued Mixbook. They also had a userfriendly format, but not the same selection of background photos. I think I had become comfortable with Picaboo, so I guess for me, that was my preference. Roxio photoshow was also a really great way to create slideshows, but if you want to do anything a little more fun like add music, you need to pay a $39 per year fee.BOOO!

On a more professional level, I have been playing with Linkedin. I know it has a lot of potential, but I am becomming frustrated trying to find good contactsto network with.

I had totally forgotten how to put somgs onto my blog, but I did get it after some tweaking. I think for the most part, you just need a little time to play and for me practice...

I also stumbles accross this great site http://www.icovia.com/3d/ while looking for a furniture placement planner. It was really helpful and let you build and customize a room while trying different furniture varyations. If you want to save you work, there was a fee, but if you just wanted to try some tricks, it worked great.

These are just a few of the tools I tried out. I'm not really sure if they are categorized as 2.0 tools, but the sky seems to be the limit.

p.s. I also set up igoogle on my web page...lovin' it!

  1. Great. Adding a few links to these will let people go check them out right from your blog post. Thanks for the reviews.
